Growing your own fruit and vegetables is no more relevant now than it was in the second world war.

Then, families were encouraged to do so because of food shortages. Now, the reasoning would be to save on food costs, grow and eat organic food, and to make sure you get your 5 a day, fruit and vegetables.

I think it is still important that people try to plant crops nowadays. Like me, I would want to serve fresh fruits and vegetables for my family not just because I would save a lot of money but because I am sure that what I am serving to them are healthy and are free from those pesticides and harmful chemicals. Anyway, thanks a lot and have a great day to all.

I believe that just as nothing beats cooking and preparing your own food, nothing beats growing them in your own backyard as well. You can be sure of the quality of your produce and you can be sure of its sanitation. You can't get that much of assurance from any other farmer.

However, it's a challenge to maintain your own vegetable and fruit garden so you should read up on it before getting into this.

Hi there! Of course, nothing could ever beat the fresh fruits and vegetables that we serve our families. Aside from the fact that you can save money out of it, our family members could get vitamins from it as well. This can be a good source of energy for our bodies. I hope that we will all plant and vegetables on our yards.

Thank you so much and have a great day!

When I have my own home, I would like to have a small garden where I and my kids would plant fruits and vegetables. It is good that we grow our own food in our backyard not just because it is healthier but also because it is less expensive. Living frugally nowadays would surely go a long way in helping our family budget.
