Same here, I think I am an impulse buyer indeed and I tend to buy stuffs even if I do not need them at the moment. I just kept them in the house and just look at them at times. My friends would usually stop me buying those what they call unnecessary things but hey, those are my stuffs and I love buying them so why the worry? I do not know if I should think this way or not.

Thank author of this post/comment"Buy Wisely, Never Impulsively"

It is not good to buy stuffs that we do not need and would end up being junk in the future. Most especially during these days of hard financial status we are in. It would be much better if we try to list down the stuffs that we really need. Stick to that list and try to not give attention to any other items in shopping centers. There are some more useful tips in frugal living and saving up from not simply not buying impulsively.

Whenever I read certain literature from the 18th and 19th century I am struck by one thing. Impulse buying is generally discouraged. Even when the rich do it, they are usually the ones held up as the example of those who squandered their wealth on foolish things. And the poor and working class usually are held out as an example of scrounging for their every need, and yet wishing they could spend tons. If ever one of those poor souls do receive windfalls, the story of their demise through overspending and impulse buying is very clear.

the bargain hunting demography is growing than ever because of the recent recession in the country and all over the world. the Impulse buying reflex is not very prominent nowadays, thanks goodness. everyone is into the frugal side which is the best thing that ever happen to this country. if it is possible to not spend money at all, then it would be great. Think about what impulse buying can do to your budget first.
