I find it useful to have this planner in my kitchen so I can jot down what I need to buy whenever I go shopping for our weekly needs. I think it is important to have a list of what you need and be able to stick to that list. In these days of difficult financial times, we need to really find a way to cope up and survive. Living frugal is one way to do so. |

That is good Cecilia. It is so hard to stick to our plan when it comes to buying stuffs. Most of the time we are tempted to buy stuffs that we do not need, but still, we can change our old ways just for the sake of saving and living in a frugal way.It takes courage and discipline to cut off expenses and to just stick on the shopping or grocery list. |
| Okay, admittedly, I have this possibility of impulse buying almost everytime. I do not have that self control especially when I see something that IO really, really like. I know that it isn't good. Of course. But I just can't help myself from buying instantly sometimes, my problem is that, even the money which is allocated for something else is used fo my impulse buying. I think that I am pathetic. |
| Desperate times call for desperate measures. I for one was force to revamp my lifestyle after the recession. My husband got laid off and our debts stated to haunt us. Luckily my husband got a new work, but hat doesn't mean we have the luxury to live the live we once had. Now, I am more conscious on what I buy. Conscious in a sense that I am now budgeting our money. |
| I like this tip regarding impulse buying. What really helped me to stop a lot of that buying on the spot was recording every purchase right away. It gave me a sense of accountability, and having to share my records with my husband was even better as I would have to explain those purchases. On the other hand, to help me stick to my good resolutions, I do allow myself a very small allowance for impulse buying. |
