This is a great way to keep your cash and not go to the supermarket for high priced vegetables. Better yet, why not start your own garden in addition to foraging the forest for the flora you need?
Nice suggestion Adam. Though there is a particular condition to be met before one can grow their all natural vegan crops: (1) Are you able to take care of this crops?; (2) Does one have the space or garden to grow such products. If the two are met, then you're in luck as this is a good way to cut the usual unstable market cost of vegan products. Even the shops focused on selling vegan crops could charge you a hefty sum in exchange for their all organic or natural crops.
Wild plants as a food is an option under frugal living. It doesn't mean that all the wild plants are edible; it would be better if you carry a book along with you which will help you to distinguish between an edible one and a poisonous one. These edible wild plants have medicinal properties too hence an extensive use in case of Ayurveda medicine. A better way to heal; let the nature treat and cure you.
I think having a garden somewhere in your backyard could really help maintain a simple lifestyle. This can also help us maintain a healthy lifestyle. Although there are so many things to consider before you could start growing those edible plants. However, if we want to keep our lifestyle frugal, we just have to maintain and do something about it. Probably we can use pots and plant our vegetables there. Thank you.
Yeah, if you can plant some veggies and some fruit bearing plants in your extra land space then that would be a good move to not only save money from buying stuffs in the market but also a good way to help mother earth. You can check out some information about crops online and see what plants are applicable to plant in a certain period of time. Good day to all.
