Questions: Looking for some frugal recipes? Trying to save money on groceries. I like to try to make new recipes and usually get them from my cookbooks, but it is getting expensive. Only feeding 2 people, but occasionally like leftovers to take to work for lunch.

Hi there Cecilia. You know what, you can check out online for some good tasting recipes that you can try to prepare for the whole family. I bet that you can find lots of good recipes. I also go online for some tasty recipes that are easy to prepare and are light on the budget. Anyway, good luck on your quest on finding delicious recipes online. Good day to all. |
I love to cook, and experiment recipes on my own. Usually, I tried to search online for some native recipes and make a little revisions, instead of following the exact ingredients I tried to look what is available in groceries. I make it a point that it will be more nutritious and will look and taste authentic. So If I were you, make an effort to experiment. I bet you will be appreciated more by your family.Enjoy!
I'm sure you will find a lot of delicious recipes that are easy on the budget. Yes, this is the challenge that beset homemakers now given the current economic slump that our country is in. The good news is, healthy food like fruits and vegetables, which is what we mostly need to be fit, don't cost as much as all those unhealthy and fatty foods like meats and cold cuts. It's better if we will prepare more of these for our family.
I suppose how much healthy food costs really depends upon where you live. In most western countries the unhealthy food is the cheap stuff. But, if you want to cook pretty healthfully and cheaply, then pretty much anywhere you live you should be able to obtain brown rice, veggies and some sort of meat to make a stir fry. That is quick and easy to make, and can also be eaten as leftovers the next day.
