Wow! I love cooking. I cook for myself. I used rice cooker when I'm going to cook and that gives a high electric bill. So I tried to to cook only the breakfast in the rice cooker. I also plan to use wood instead but maybe that would be difficult for me.

Firs thing to do if you want to decrease your electric consumption is to switch off all your appliances if not used and as much as possible unplug them as well. Nowadays there are this tools to further decrease the electricity bills, I think they are called power savers. Anyway, if you can share here any more tips on saving electricity then that would be a lot of help to all.

If you want to save on regular expenses then go with frugal living and downsize. Remove those water monsters of a shower to reduce water bill expense. Use the very traditional crocks for cooking, and firewood or charcoal for fuel. Our family has been using this way of cooking for quite some time now even if we have your typical double burner gas stove.

Say no to luxurious type of living. In these rough times where every penny counts one must be practical and be open for suggestions.

Saving electricity in the kitchen is simple. When not using your appliances, unplug them. Except for the fridge and oven, everything can be unplugged with no ill effect. Idle appliances still use energy which adds up over the course of a month.

That i true. Unplugging unused appliance could save us lots of money. It is so hard to earn money nowadays and so we need to really find a way save up or to at least cut our expenses and the money to allocate on monthly utilities. The money that we can save up could surely go a long way. We can buy stuffs that we need at home and we can help save energy as well.
