The IRS Tax Credit on New Cars May Make New Cars a Better Deal Than Used

To help stimulate the industry and our economy as a result the IRS has reinstated the tax deduction for ...buy new passenger cars between Feb. 16, 2009 and Jan. 10, 2010 will be able to deduct their state and local ...local sales and excise taxes paid on up to $49, 500 of the purchase price of a qualified new car, light truck, ...buy new something I said Id never do again. Of course if you dont need a car then its not frugal ...buy one, no matter how good the deal. Thankfully our cars are in good shape.  Lets hope it stays that way

Yes, I agree that the US government really, really wants all its people buy cars because it will help your economy in return. And I am pretty sure the government also wants you to buy other stuff because the more you buy, the more your economy improves.

But then, given you limitations due to the on-going recession, it has to come up with more incentives like tax deductions to convince you to buy more.
