| Frugalness Earlier this week I read on an Internet website some tips on how to be frugal. The one that resonated with me was to buy a fresh pumpkin and process it rather than buying canned pumpkin.Im sorry but I dont think this is a particularly frugal thing to do. My local store was selling canned name brand pumpkin for $1.59 for a 16 oz. can when I did my grocery shopping yesterday. Fresh squash was selling at two pounds for a dollar. I dont know what their price was on pumpkins because I didnt see any pumpkins.

| It's good to know that you are trying to live your life frugally. The worst part though, is that you are not aware of the different prices of things. I think the best thing that you should do is to survey the prices of tyhe things that you are using everyday. Try to look around so that you can compare things. This would be the best advice aI could tell you in term sof frugalness. Take it from a frugal herself. |
| "Comparing Prices "
Thanks for all of those advise frugal girl. I think it is important that we do compare prices just for the sake of finding out which stuffs are worth the price and which stuffs should we buy. Because if we would just stick to one shop, we would never know which ones are the good ones and which ones are priced much lower. That is the best thing to do I think to be able to save up. |
| Hi there! Well, m I am really not that fan of buying local goods. I am really not that nationalistic which I do not consider as a bad attitude. I am really fascinated on buying things that are produce in places that are not that near in our place. I hope it does not bother others. Thanks you so much to all of you guys and have a great day to all! |
| While it is important being frugal, it should not be taken to an extreme where it becomes the end itself. Sometimes life requires that you spend more in order to save time. A lot of time can be lost when someone is trying to hold on to money unnecessarily, and this only results in loss time and in a lack of productivity, which means less money will be coming in. Doesn't make sense to me. |
| Nothing is wrong for buying local. It is simply a product of wise buying as many people nowadays turn out to be frugal. I this way they prefer buying stuff in cheap prices and learn to save much money. No time for much luxury because necessity is the priority. But anyway, it is a matter of choice. As for me, I enjoy buying local products like clothes, antique furniture, and so on. |
